Hi Sanjay-

Just one nit left from me - I still don't like the comment at 678. This block is related to the name service protocols and their requirements. It's stated above that whatever is found is added to the config.

Other than that, looks fine.

So that I am clear.

# domain or search. If both are set the config file is populated with
679 # both entries.
680

I will remove the sentence - "if both are...."

yes, please. thanks

updated webrev is available at: https://cr.opensolaris.org/action/browse/caiman/nadkarni/7133919/webrev/

I forgot to provide all the test information earlier.
Tested on x86 and SPARC. Created SPARC and x86 services
/etc/resolv.conf was modified and SMF properties were updated using nscfg import -fv dns/client
entries in resolv.conf were
1. only name servers
2. nameserver and domain
3. nameserver and search
4. nameserver, domain and search

For each of these cases, sparc and x86 services were created using the -i option. The contents of /etc/inet/dhcpd4.conf was examined to ensure that the correct entries corresponding to domain and search values were set.
DNS search criteria had single and multi-elements
