Hi Martin,
I checked with Christina who put the message in js2ai. She said that's
a message
she came up with. She based it on messages she used in some
previous Sun products she worked on.
Since the message in js2ai is not incorrect, unlike the one referencing
the bug tracking system
that's no longer used in text installer, I think we can just leave it as
it is.
For 7160486, Swati can just remove the URL from text installer.
Then, we will file a follow on bug to figure out what the right text to
use is, then, update
the installers, DC and js2ai to use the same text.
Thanks,

I actually found this in js2ai/modules/__init__.py, so we at least
have some inconsistencies if we've left some other blank:
1428-1430:
"occurred, if the problem persists contact your "
"Oracle customer service representative to report "
"the problem. Details of the problem to report "

Karen - I am fine either way for now. It's just that I thought
(could've sworn) someone has made that change a while ago for
something else so I'd prefer our stuff to be consistent, but maybe I
just forgot the final decision there. It'd be good if you or Swati
could just grep to see if this didn't exist anywhere just to make
sure I wasn't right.
If we decided we need such a message, I am all for the tracking bug.
Shawn - Service Request here means users to file a bug I assume? I
think this needs to be done through support as well, so I think the
two messages are telling the users to do the same thing, if I am not
mistaken, or is there any other way to file an SR?
Thanks,
Martin

Hi Martin,
When we make the update to remove the reference to
https://defect.opensolaris.org in AI, we just removed
the reference to bugster. I think we were trying to come up with
something else, but we decided at
that time it's best to just remove it.
If we want to include "Please contact Oracle support to report this
issue", I think we should do that for all
the tools we produce. That way, we are consistent everywhere.
For this bug, would it be OK with you to just remove the reference to
bugster? If you like,
I can file a separate bug to update all the installers/DC...etc..
to put
in the string about
contacting Oracle support.
This is the text we use for pkg(5) that I believe was reviewed by
David Comay and others:
This is an internal error in pkg(5) version %(version)s. Please
log a
Service Request about this issue including the information above and
this message.
...where 'version' is the hg changeset id for the version of pkg(5)
being executed.
