-------- Original Message -------- Subject: [pkg-discuss] question on placing the 'entire' on manifest Date: Mon, 07 May 2012 15:00:28 -0700 From: Steven Lau <[email protected]> To: [email protected]
Hi, From the default manifest ... there is a line specifying the 'entire' ...
I was just told that if you take this line out from the default manifest ... it still can install the latest bits from the designated IPS. So my question is that if there are any different on what the system will be installed ... by specifying 'entire@latest' from leaving it out in the default manifest. ( The first thing I can think of is that we cannot identify what build we have installed by doing 'pkg info entire' ... if we left the line out from the manifest. ) Thx, -Steven _______________________________________________ pkg-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-discuss _______________________________________________ caiman-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/caiman-discuss
