Hello, Cairo-Dock is mostly a mix between launchers and a taskbar :) . But did you try to disable the first parameter of the 'Taskbar' module in the config panel?
PS: don't hesitate to use our stable repository ;) ( http://www.cairo- dock.org/ww_page.php ) -- Even though I tell cairo-dock to not function as a taskbar, it still does in some ways... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/461335 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Cairo- Dock Team, which is subscribed to cairo-dock in ubuntu. Status in “cairo-dock” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Binary package hint: cairo-dock I want to use cairo-dock solely as a launcher, while still making use of my regular Ubuntu taskbar. When I disable the taskbar functionality (even though the module is forced-on), when I minimize an application, it minimizes to cairo dock. When I have compiz window previews enabled, they also don't show up when I hover over my taskbar, but they do when I hover over cairo-dock.
