Intrepid Ibex reached end-of-life on 30 April 2010 so I am closing the
report. The bug has been fixed in newer releases of Ubuntu.

Bug description:
Cairo-Dock (1.6.2.3) Does NOT fully install. Does NOT show as an "Available
Application" in Add/Remove Software in Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex.
However, it shows FULLY installed in the Synaptic Pkg. Mgr. It just does NOT
appear AT ALL in the in the Add/Remove Software even when you have selected
"All Available Applications." Also it does NOT show anywhere w/the Main Menu
under ANY category. I have thoroughly looked for it in every part on the Menu
including the subset menus.
This is was NOT the case w/Hardy Heron 8.04. Cairo-Dock DID show as an
Available Application in 8.04 H/H.
I am using the same PC that I had Hardy Heron 8.04 on.
Also the same is happening with Kubuntu 8.10. I have it on the SAME H/D on the
same PC. Cairo-Dock shows INSTALLED on the Synaptic Pkg. Mgr. but not
available in the Add/Remove Software Application.
I've already notified Berlios Developer (The Developer and Maintainer of
Cairo-Dock).
Although I am using Avant Window Navigator, I prefer the Cairo-Dock. Sorry. I
just think it is overall a much more appealing dock aesthetically and ability
wise.
