Hello and thank you for this bug report (and sorry for the delay but it
seems we've not been notified...)
This applet works differently if you're using Ubuntu 11.04 and newer or Ubuntu
10.10 and older.
For newer versions of Ubuntu, you should have a sound-indicator menu (just like
the indicator sound in Unity) and the scroll action should be different.
Is it possible to launch the dock from the terminal and post the debug messages
produced by this alsaMixer applet:
$ cairo-dock -l debug | sed -n "/alsaMixer\// {N;p;}" > cairo-dock_debug.txt
** Project changed: cairo-dock-core => cairo-dock-plug-ins
** Changed in: cairo-dock-plug-ins
