Uh, confused. As far as the comment on the work-around, I was referring to the work-around for 3.0.0. I just thought you'd be interested to know that turning off 'recent files' does not actually work around the problem in the older version. And, yes, the commands work just fine, I was just babbling on about why I had not already updated to 3.1.1 (because I only had the Ubuntu repo in my sources list) Sorry about the confusion, the new (3.1.1) version solves the problem. Currently it is Accessories, before that it was Programming which was replaced. Once replaced you can not get to that submenu's content throught the menu. I tried editing the menu, adding a new major submenu (Other) to the list, just to see if it would "fix itself". This is what trggered the change from blocking the Programming sub-menu to now blocking the Accessories sub-menu. As a work-around I have added a sub-dock to the main dock which has my most used Accessories ... but it is a bit annoying.
