Thank you. According to the log file, the icon of printermenu indicator
is added and removed twice. Each time we receive a pixbuf and the size
of this pixbuf is not null (70x70). (or maybe the icon is black on a
black background?)

@Fabounet: any idea?
Maybe the signal to display the icon is sent before creating this pixbuf and 
this is why the dock display a transparent pixbuf? But I think there is no 
signal to detect all modifications on this pixbuf.

I don't have this problem but I'm using Ubuntu 13.10... Maybe this bug has 
already been fixed.
@Fabounet: Do you still have this bug with Ubuntu 13.04?

Bug description:
  Using Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS 32bit, updated today, kernel 3.2.0-41.66
  Cairo dock 3.2.1 & Unity disabled, Canon MX328 printer

  Printer indicator didn't appear while printing. 
  I attach dmesg.log while I was printing..maybe it could help you analize.
