Hi,

The latest version that you're now using fixes this bug: the OpenGL backend was 
not enabled by default on many configurations.
If you prefer to not use the OpenGL version (because your video drivers don't 
support well some features), you can launch this command and save you new 
choice:

  $ cairo-dock -A

  Dock rendering/dpi VERY low quality

  After recent update, animations began working properly; however, now
  the resolution of the docks (mouse over, static, background) are VERY
  low.  Looks terrible.  All icons are working, no issue. Cairo restart
  ineffective. Logout ineffective.
