Okay. I have long used Chris's WebDeveloper Toolbar (and really like the latest version with view rendered source FINALLY!). But for serious debugging of layout I was content to use the DOM Inspector that comes with Firefox. Well, I recently found an extension that I am in love with. It is called FireBug. Basically it is a more integrated DOM that can also handle Javascript debugging.
Also, perhaps the coolest thing is that it can watch AJAX requests for you if you need to debug AJAX in your app. I have paired this with IETab (open IE in a tab for a site) and I can now do all my proofing of websites and debugging all within the confines of Firefox. Just thought I would pop in to share this exciting extension that can help those debugging AJAX code. A little note is that it isn't turned on by default so you check the options and show XMLHTTPRequest. Hope this helps cause I sure know it has me. And if you guys already use this why were you holding out on me? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
