Are there any kind of plans to introduce something along the lines of Application Variables?
Way back in the day, I used to build asp sites and I found lots of use for application vars and global.asa. Today, I can't stand asp(x) and really love php, but I find myself missing application variables from time to time. Failing php building them in, I imagine using the database would be one way to manage this, or maybe using a file. Frankly, I don't know if either idea makes sense from a performance standpoint. But I still wonder and maybe there are more imaginative solutions out there. Is this something anyone has thought about for Cake? Could it even be feasible? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
