Sorry for the long title, but I wanted to make it would make it easy to
search for in the future.
I have a view which has a button that calls a javascript function once
it's clicked using "onclick=functionFoo". The javascript function
manipulates some data and returns an string in the form of
[id]:[some_number]. I want to use the [id]:[some_number] pair to
update each of the records in my database table. I've gotten the
javascript to return the data I'm looking for, but I'm having trouble
making the leap back to the controller, and then altering my database
records. What is the typical/accepted way of doing this? Are there
any tutorials out there that might clear this up?
