There's a lot of things that link to the wiki. While I agree that there can be a better collection of documentation, I would suggest not simply dropping it entirely. Make it read-only for all but a few people, and just have them put onto the pages a link to the better information, and tell everyone the wiki page is depreciated, but please don't break links.
