yes that's what I talked about. I just thought it would be nice to have an abstract function for it instead of doing manual sql queries, but I can live with it as it is, I was just surprised this function wasn't there, that's all.

Is this what you're after? If so, this doesn't need to be inside of a  
loop or anything.
