thanks a lot for your tips, while reading your suggestion, i've realized that i'm trying to access an object that doesn't exist!!!
$this->data in my case doesn't exist because i'm starting from a link with a parameter!! i was getting so used to $this->data that i wanted to use it in any case!!! ;-) ;-)
