Re: CakePHP 1.1.6.3264 Released

I just upgraded from 1.1.5 to 1.1.6 and had no problems.

Here is what I did...

  1. Back up my /app directory outside of my webroot.

  2. Delete the contents of my webroot AFTER backing up /app somewhere else.

  3. Extract the new cake version into my webroot

  4. Double check to make sure the .htaccess files are actually there.

  5. Rename the /app that came with the new version of cake to app.stock

  6. Move my originall /app directory back into the webroot where it was before I backed it up.
Everything came up just fine for me.

You might check to make sure that you have all the .htaccess files in the appropriate places after upgrade
  1. /.htaccess
  2. /app/.htaccess
  3. /app/webroot/.htaccess
