Hm, what about calling exit; in your beforeFilter? That will make sure
nothing get's executed after it ; ). But actually, what you should do, is render a page with a link for the redirect, since some odd browsers might not support them (or something else goes wrong) and will show up a blank page. (and exit after that), [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Returning false (or true, for that matter) from beforeFilter does nothing. The start function in Dispatcher (http://api.cakephp.org/dispatcher_8php-source.html#l00268) is where beforeFilter is called. Notice on line 284 that beforeFilter's return value is ignored. Also, in Dispatcher's _invoke function (http://api.cakephp.org/dispatcher_8php-source.html#l00246) there doesn't seem to be any way to prevent it from calling the controller action. Would it be reasonable to submit a feature request to have Dispatcher not call the controller action if beforeFilter returns false? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
