Think about once you set a variable in your controller. Then, look at your view code. If you have a complex view suddenly you are relying on your naming conventions to keep things straight. $user['id'] $role['id']. Also, then you would have to remember whether it is an association or not so sometimes you would do $user['id'], but if it was returned in the association to user and looped thru a foreach you would use $user['User']['id']. That would get confusing in a hurry.
Sit back and think about it for a minute. Much better to know to always fully qualify the value you want with table and field rather than only having to do it ocassionaly. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
