Also, older MySQL's parted in 3 groups: 3.23, 4.0 and 4.1. Those are the partitions, where useful new stuff's been added in. The documentation link uses them in a group (all-versions-less-than-5): http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/4.1/en/
You've got 4.1. One of the very useful releases. That means you're not hindered by the database version.
