CakePHP 1.1.8.3544... the start of something new

CakePHP 1.1.8.3544 is the latest release and brings us to the point of some more exciting new changes. While this release signals the end of the 1.1 series, it also provides the starting point for the next year. About this time last year 0.10 was released, then a mere 6 months ago 1.0 hit the world with a bang. The 1.1 series has seen the most downloads and helped nail down some of the bugs that allow us to take the next big step.

CakePHP 1.2, with datasources, behaviors, i18N, l10n, among many other enhancements is around the corner. But before we release 1.2, we can have some fun with the Bakery.

That's right. We have been talking about replacing the wiki and bringing in the Bakery. Well, the doors are open at http://bakery.cakephp.org . Over the next few days we hope everyone will help us move the content from the wiki over to the Bakery. If you have a tutorial on the wiki, something you wrote up on your blog, or something you have been planning to share, help us test out the Bakery. The Code section of the Bakery is the perfect place to put your latest and greatest snippet. If you have a component, helper, model or some other nifty code on CakeForge or your hard drive, throw it into the Code section of the Bakery. There are still plenty of features to add to the Bakery, but if you find any bugs or think of some enhancements feel free to submit a ticket to Trac, https://trac.cakephp.org
