Hey Sonic, I feel your pain. It's not about what's right or wrong really. It's about what works the best for you. If you're more comfortable keeping the controllers clean and putting the logic in the models, then go for it. I prefer to keep the models clean and the controllers busy, but that is simply my preference. It may be more in line with "classic MVC practices" but who gives a shit. The simple fact you want to use Cake is a victory.
