Thanks for the link. I like your idea although I'm not sure if this would apply to my situation. Selenium calls the actual application in a Frame of it's own so no matter what URL I type into the address bar, it won't be passed to the application.
If I were to use your method, I'd have to call the test URL in the application...... I think.

Hmmm.... maybe not. There are some sparks going off in my head right now.
Maybe if I open the initial test page using the test sub-domain then cake will attach all further relative URL's to this.

I'll think about this some more and report back. I'm also looking into some other methods.

In the meantime, thanks for the tip!
