Re errors on windows, ahh... wow.... that looks like a lot or errors and I wouldn't have the faintest notion what any of all that means.
Re the repo for mime types I haven't set this up, I didn't know I had to and have only been learning from googling over the last few hours. I think my problem is that I just don't know enough. I've only used the cake console a couple of times and never used consoles before. All the tutorials for this Media Plugin seem to require you doing things with the console which I haven't been able to make work at all. So I'm in a quandary. it's been suggested that I use http://www.jamesfairhurst.co.uk/posts/view/uploading_files_and_images_with_cakephp to upload files and then crop them as necessary using http://bakery.cakephp.org/articles/Perkster/2008/04/12/image-resizer-crop But everywhere I've read it says Media Plugin is the best. I'm not sure what I'll be loosing out on if I go this other way. Because I can't get media working, I don't know what I'm missing :( Are there security issues or other drawbacks to doing this without the media plugin On May 12, 4:30 pm, Sam Sherlock <[email protected]> wrote: > on windows media plugin has > issueshttps://github.com/davidpersson/media/issues/8 > > David has a separate repo for mime types did you also set this > uphttps://github.com/davidpersson/mm > - S > > On 12 May 2011 14:43, barricades <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > > > > > > Hi, I'm trying to use the above plugin by following the tutorial at > > >http://pixelcone.com/tutorial/ajax-file-upload-using-jquery-and-cakep... > > > The tutorial itself is great because it goes into a bit of detail with > > exactly what you're meant to put and where, which is great for a total > > newb like myself > > > However, after following all the instructions now when I visit any > > page in my application I'm getting the error: > > Fatal error: Call to undefined method MIME_Type::config() in C:\xampp > > \htdocs\raisin\app\plugins\media\config\core.php on line 97 > > > From what I've googled it looks like I'm meant to have some other > > piece of software installed somewhere but I'm buggered if I can figure > > what. > > > anyone any ideas? > > > -- > > Our newest site for the community: CakePHP Video Tutorials > >http://tv.cakephp.org > > Check out the new CakePHP Questions sitehttp://ask.cakephp.organd help > > others with their CakePHP related questions. > > > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > > [email protected] For more options, visit this group > > athttp://groups.google.com/group/cake-php -- Our newest site for the community: CakePHP Video Tutorials http://tv.cakephp.org Check out the new CakePHP Questions site http://ask.cakephp.org and help others with their CakePHP related questions.
