Not working. I changed it to:
:::: Controller ::::
$mediaTypes = $this->Media->MediaType->find('list');
$this->set(compact('$mediaTypes'));
:::: View ::::
echo $this->Form->input('media_type_id');
and made the model change. Here is what it is outputting:
<div class="input select">
<label for="MediaMediaTypeId">Media Type</label>
<select name="data[Media][media_type_id]" id="MediaMediaTypeId">
</select>
</div>
