He says he did so, however the error message he provides tells a different 
story. The system is looking for a column called Site.id and the "." does 
not belong there. 

Besides that the controller code does not seem to be complete. He makes a 
call to read() without setting the id, which should return false in any case 
and would not hit the database at all.
