Hi All, I have a situation where we need to create a quick shopping list without saving to the DB. THe person select a product and then add it to the list. The details of the item is then added to the list and they can add more or remove items from the list. This is all done without saving anything to the database, so all variables needs to be kept in memory. When they are done they submit and only then the basket and it's contents are created in the database.
I have been trying to think of ways of doing this, but cannot come up with a good solution. One idea is to use JQuery to add and remove rows to the HTML table and then just read the table whent he Submit button is clicked. The other idea is to use a JSON object that is kept in memory and just alter the the JSON object to keep the array for the table data and use an element view to redraw the table. Problem is that I have never done any of the above before with CakePHP Any ideas or suggestions? Has anyone done this before?
