How bad was my English/typing there? Poor form...let me redo that one. This is an upgraded application that I am working on that still has remnants of old code. The users controller still contains var $name = 'User', which was causing the error. Worth pointing out for others who are doing an upgrade as the upgrade shell didn't remove it.
