I don't want to look at your whole logs; I want you to perform the action that 
causes the error, then look in the error log and post the error that occurs 
exactly at that time. If you have a separate PHP error log, perhaps there's 
something interesting in there too. But it sounds like a purely Apache error at 
this point.

I have no idea where lampp or xampp put their log files; I've never used those 
distributions.
