Hey Andy, Very interesting. It's a customer's Windows 2003 server that's allegedly behind a secure firewall so I will do just what you suggested and see if I can figure out who's knocking on my door. I don't have access to any of the Server logs (it's IIS fwiw) so I'll try to figure it out from the Cake side. Their admin can probably help me along if I discover some untoward activity on their network.
Many thanks and I'll keep the thread updated to keep viewes entertained with the mystery and intrigue ;) All the best, Jonathan On Dec 15, 3:23 am, AD7six <andydawso...@gmail.com> wrote: > > Log the referrer with your errors (or look at your apache log) > > You are receiving requests for /client_web_service and / > simple_auth_web_service > > If that's a public site they might be probe requests to see if you > have something installed that contains an exploitable weakness. > > AD -- Our newest site for the community: CakePHP Video Tutorials http://tv.cakephp.org Check out the new CakePHP Questions site http://ask.cakephp.org and help others with their CakePHP related questions.
