Hi, Im currently hosting a little portal in one dedicated (operton)server with 60k unique users and average 1189748 page generations (usually 5 to 13 querys to mysqldb per request and some cached data) per day (as per 15hours at peak 8 hours a day). As I'm starting to redevelop and expand this solution and was looking for some what premade framework to work with a team (MVC seems a good choice for keeping order in system) I stumbled upon cakephp and gave it a test.
Unfortunately I'm not a "allinone" developer and could not figure out how to benchmark the framework or applications based on it. I'ts very crucial for me to benchmark solutions before I decide whats good or what's not so I have a few questions for you: 1. what are the common tools/schemas for benchmarking cakephp based apps 2. are there a live sites with such userbase or visits running in same condition as described, if there is, drop a link :) PS: I also noticed while exploring cakephp it loads hmm many classes by default even with blank page and I was wondering if it hase some kind of virtualisation or system to controll the classes loaded and limit them only to those ou actually need to use to perform a certain task. rgds --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
