I am using the CakeEmail as follows (I have hidden some sensitive
data) :

function sendConfirmationMail($email_to, $username, $user_id,
$conf_data) {
$email = new CakeEmail();
$email->smtpOptions = array(
        'port'=>'25',
        'timeout'=>'30',
        'host' => 'smtp.talktalk.net',
        'username'=>'xxxxxx',
        'password'=>'xxxxxx'
);
$email->delivery = 'smtp';
$email->to = $email_to;
$email->subject = 'Welcome to xxxxx';
$email->replyTo = '[email protected]';
$email->from = '[email protected]';
$email->template = $email->subject.'. You have created an account
with the user name: '.
                        $username;
$email->sendAs = 'html';
$email->_debug = true;
return $email->send();
}

I get the error:
>From is not specified.
Error: An Internal Error Has Occurred

Stack Trace
#0 C:\xampp\htdocs\xxxxx\Controller\Component\KCompsComponent.php(35):
