You *don't* have to go to index.php - no-one ever does with Cake. It will break 
if you do. Do not try and make it work that way.

You can't have checked your implementation (without going to index.php) in the 
few minutes since we have been on mail. Go back and do some checks - without 
going to index.php (I hope I have made that point!).
