Helpers are supposed to be used from the view as they, oh well, help views :)
You could create a component, something like TimeComponent, and do those SQL there. You use the component on your controller, and the helper on your views. Components are to controllers what helpers are to views. -MI --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remember, smart coders answer ten questions for every question they ask. The TimeHelper has some useful sql related functions, like dayAsSql. It seems odd that those methods would be in TimeHelper if you can only use it inside a view. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
