As an application grows more complex, views are an essential tool for database designers and developers. I work predominantly with Oracle Applications (many, many *thousands* of tables) most of which have views that aid multi-language, security profiles partitioning and performance. I would be interested to know if Cake has issues with the more mature implementations of views (e.g. Oracle, Postgres) - I think MySql only started with views in 5.x(?) so the clients may still be catching up with the finer details of the implementation. I'm in the process of designing a reasonably complex application with Cake and views are (were?) going to play a major role... Time for some testing methinks. ~GreyCells --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
