Since discovering CakePHP, I've quit my job and started work as a freelance developer. Loving it! I find CakePHP gives me a much bigger advantage over the competitors who don't use it, the scaffolding alone works as a great sales tool. You can use it to build a web application for a potential client in a few minutes, right in front of their eyes. Imagine the client's surprise, when at the end of the sales meeting, you turn your laptop around, show them the prototype application you baked with scaffolding, and ask them 'Is this what you are looking for?'. That alone usually wins me the bid for the project.
Since then, I've taken the money I've earned from freelancing and am now using it to build an online comic book site. Will have something up and running soon and will post it in this group. I'd be happy to share information and resources with you, but am not sure what extra value you expect to gain from collaborating within a small group of people as opposed sharing information with the entire CakePHP community via Google Groups, etc. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
