I'll have to give it a closer look (and read this post again). I'm  
really hesitant to use the compact coding style, but I can see the  
benefits as well: I'll have to think on that.

What effects library do jQuery folks use? If I'm going to drop  
Prototype, I'll need a robust effects library equivalent to  
Scriptaculous.
