Ok I found my answer before this question cleared moderation.

'unique' => 'keepExisting'
)
);
function __construct($id = false, $table = null, $ds = null) {
$this->hasAndBelongsToMany['Role']['conditions'] =
array('RolesUser.site_id' => Configure::read('Settings.site_id'));
parent::__construct($id, $table, $ds);
}
And as it turns out is was in this group going back to 2010 sometime.
