So, I am trying to setup a system in Cakephp 2.x where a user can be a member of multiple groups and gain access based on the what all those groups would provide. So here is my question. Right now, the ACL behavior along with a parentNode() function in my group model automatically creates an ARO entry when a new group is created. This seems to duplicate information as the ARO and the group seem to basically be the same thing, but in two different tables. Would I be better off just ignoring the group model and create a ARO model to handle the manipulation of the permissions?
On another note, is there anyway to make the ACL Behavior also save the alias of the record?
