See? This is what I'm talking about. > But in this case, I believe that a company suing CakePHP because of (to > quote an example) its MVC implementation would sit a legal precedence that > no other framework / open source project would want to take up with. Which brings me to another question: Can anyone point references to large companies that use CakePHP? You can reply to me in private if you wish not to reveal it in public (but why not reveal it?) This way I can get a list of large sites that use CakePHP and present it to my employer when I argue my case. > So is it possible? Anything is possible. Likewise for me. It is my employer who is having second thoughts about CakePHP. I even intend to use it to replace my aging custom MVC framework. I even work on modifications for CakePHP that makes it easier for me to do migration. I am training my junior developer to build his own CMS using CakePHP. In short, I *love* CakePHP. But reality puts a few things in the way for me. -- _nimrod_a_abing_ [?] http://abing.gotdns.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
