Hi NOSLOW, Just wanted to report back and thank you. I followed your advice and DBDesigner is no longer causing problems.
FYI, the problem was I had been using the plain relationships (the lower set of icons). Using the "non-identifying" ones (the upper set), as you suggested, made the problems disappear. Thanks NOSLOW.
