Well, it all depends on how you are looking at this editor.

I don't think they are trying to create an IDE and compete with Zend or
Eclipse.

We all know Eclipse is great, open source and yes bloated (slows down
the comp).

I too use phpEclipse with SVN integration and like it.

But, considering how light weight this is and how super fast it is and
how many languages it supports is simply great.

In Eclipse I am not sure you can bind a file with a
phpEditor/cssEditor/javascriptEditor etc at the same time?

You can switch between modes in inType with super ease - isn't that
cool?

And these things work right now in the Alpha version also.

Plus, no one is saying you can't use it with Eclipse - just configure
eclipse to use an external editor for some of your files (at least
.thtml or .php) - no? Then this editor will launch and you can do all
the cool things using it.

I prefer light weight editors and this seems like a great option. Let's
see what these guys come up with. Definitely something to watch out
for.

Jippi - I mentioned in my post that it lacks undo/redo, but here are
the features planned for the next week (which btw is in one weeks time
- without entire India working on it ;)

    * Undo/Redo
    * Indentation Settings (hard tabs, soft tabs, indent size)
    * Preferences Dialog (level 1) for setting theme and font
    * CJK Support for over-the-spot input method. See screenshot.
    * Drag&Drop Files support (level 1)
    * And a handful of new bundles: ActionScript · ANTLR · CAKE ·
Django & DjangoTemplates · Haskell · JavaScript YUI · JSP · LaTeX
· BibTeX · LaTeX Beamer · LaTeX Memoir · LaTeX Log · TeX · TeX
Math · reStructuredText · SQL · TurboGears · Perl

Thanks,
Mandy
