CakePHP is a wonderful framework if you are starting from scratch. Every example and tutorial I have seen uses freshly minted database tables.
But how easy is it to layer CakePHP on top of an existing database which has a schema that doesn't conform to what CakePHP is expecting? Is it possible to use CakePHP in this manner, or will I have to define all the queries manually?
