Your question sounds like it is primarily a "how do I use Zend" issue.
Perhaps you should approach the Zend support desk. I'm sure they can give you the assistance you are looking for. I've found them very helpful for anythiing which was not clear in their user guide. fyi - zend works great with cake. I've had no problems.
