Session's lifetime is that of a normal browser session, thus can't be used
for persistent logins. You'll need to set up cookies for that.

On CakePHP 1.2 you have a cookie component available. There's a good post
about it here:

If you are using CakePHP 1.1.x you'll need to port the cookie component, or
use the one RosSoft developed:
