i was maybe falsely presuming that there is only need for  
"font-size+-"-buttons _when_ you somehow need that "pixel-accurate" design  
and/or want a somehow more sophisticated (changing the whole layout via  
css) "zoom" functionality on your site.

beside that, i think a user should live with some discontinuity. if the  
design sucks the user will leave anyway. and there are always those smart  
people with "increase fontsize"-buttons so small you dont see them anyway  
:-)
