I installed InType yesterday and there is also a bundle for cakephp
but the editor is slow as hell and on my end it doesnt load remote
files which are copied from FTP to windows temp folder. Kinda doesn't
like foldername~1 i guess..

So even if i love the minimalism and look, these two points make this
app useless for me as "quick" editor. I also tried to create a syntax
bundle for prototype.js but the slowness of the menus just made me
quit. .. too bad :(

I hope this product will be optimized and offers a simple mask to
create custom text highlightning and intelligent text. Eventually i
would use and recommend it then. For now, it's just "o.k."

I personally use Eclipse + PHPIDE and JSEclipse for my projects.
Pretty happy with it.

Could anyone suggest a simple and fast textmate like editor for
quickedits besides InType?
