It's getting even awesomer: Jake can now be installed/uninstalled by using the Joomla's component installation facility.
I'm now working on: - Documentation translation (Jake's documentation is accessed via the menu Components -> Jake at Joomla's administrator panel) - Thinking (any thoughts?) if it's worth making the configuration modifiable via Joomla's admin panel. Until now configuration settings (such as where Cake is located, etc.) are set in a configuration file, but maybe it's worth to set it on Joomla's DB and use the admin panel to interactively change it. I've tested the following (only on Joomla 1.5 so far): - Cake 1.2 application (including the AJAX and standard version of the paginator) - Cake 1.1 application. On CakePHP 1.2 (not an issue on 1.1) with PHP4 the following ticket needs to be resolved (so running Jake on PHP4 to host a CakePHP 1.1 application involves changing one line of Cake core, namely on cake/basics.php; that's why I submitted a ticket, since it is also an issue that could affect other Cake integrations): https://trac.cakephp.org/ticket/2119 Anyway, I'll keep on working. -MI --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remember, smart coders answer ten questions for every question they ask.
