Everything you need is available in the models chapter in the manual: http://manual.cakephp.org/chapter/models Read through Section 4 (Associations) specifically and you will get what you need. If it is still unclear, Google HABTM in this group as there must be many references to this issue (I know I posted about it when I first started, as many people do).
