I hope my subject line was descriptive enough. I know and unsterstan how the HABTM works pretty well. But i have come across an interesing issue and the googles, they do nothing.
In a classic habtm example: (mainly for the noobs) article tag articles can have multiple tags and tags can have multiple articles. ex: article: "chichen soup" is tagged with "chicken soup food" article: "cheese crackers" is tagged with "cheese cracker food" both articles share 'food' as a tag, but what if i want to tag 1 article with 'food' more then one time? Example: I sell boxes for moving. I sell a 5x5 box and a 10x10 box I have 3 packages Small which has 2 5x5 Medium which has 2 5x5 and a 10x10 Large which has 25x5 and 2 10x10 I know i can create multiple entries in the packages_boxes table with the same package_id and box_id, but how do i do this with out smashing the cake on the floor as i don't see any direct interaction with the join table for hatbm?
