I think I needed to add a RewriteBase to cake's .htaccess files when
installing onto a mod_vhost_alias-using server.  I may have had to
edit the RewriteRule a bit too.  mod_rewrite is a big gun aiming near
your feet, while mod_vhost_alias makes your feet dance.  Expect to
have to make a few attempts before missing your feet.  Sorry.
